Cabbage Steaks
Ingredients: 1 green cabbage
Olive oil and melted butter
Garlic salt
Fresh cracked pepper or aleppo
Preparation: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Remove any wilted or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Using a sharp knife, slice the cabbage into 1/2-inch thick rounds or “steaks.” Be careful to keep the core intact — it holds the steaks together.
Brush oil and butter generously on both sides of each cabbage steak. Sprinkle with seasonings.
Place the cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, leaving space between each steak. Roast them in the oven for 35-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
