Gyro Patties
Ingredients: 1 pound ground lamb (or beef)
1/4 cup minced red onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Preparation: Thoroughly combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Divide into four equal portions and shape into oblong patties about 3" wide, 6" long, 1/2" thick. Refrigerate for one hour. Grill the patties over high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
